Your 1st System/console?
My first system was Nintendo nes which came with the mutant ninja turtles games. The UK was way behind the US in the uptake of video gaming as a hobby, it was still mainly a home computer enthusiasts scene, programming and sharing their own creations. The Sega master system and nes were firmly marketed as being kids products. Things started to change when the Sega Megadrive (Genesis) and Super Nintendo 16 bit generation of consoles were released.

Your 1st Favourite Game?
The first game that really hooked me was Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion, a combination of fun gameplay and cute styling had me engaged. Platform games were arguably the best genre on these systems with such classics as Mario, Sonic etc. I also recall playing quite a few RPG on the SNES.

What other systems have you owned?
From the megadrive, I progressed to the original Playstation which was Sony's entry into the Videogame market. Their marketing strategy combined with an effective gaming is cool type message really helped videogames move into the mainstream public consciousness as a form of entertainment. The next couple of systems I owned were the 3DO, Atari Jaguar, Playstation2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4....on the handheld side I owned the Atari lynx,Gameboy, Gameboy colour, Sega Nomad,Sony PSP& Vita....I really wish I had possessed the foresight to keep all these but they were traded along with the games on various trade-in upgrades, really kicking myself now. I've never entered the PC gaming arena though my Daughter has a terrifyingly hi-spec gaming laptop and PC. Phone games are another medium that never really gripped me.

Your top 3 favourite Games?
Soooo many great memories but sometimes opinion changes with hindsight offering a different perspective...games I spent hundreds of hours on at one point I wouldn't consider fun today, as I discovered when I played the re-mastered COD4 last year. At one time this would have been a surefire spot in my top three but not now....same with the John Madden series or the GTA franchise. At this point I would say my top three would be:

1.LittleBigPlanet 1 & LittleBigPlanet 2 (tied)
2. ICO
3.Final Fantasy VII

though Dreams will probably change this listing...

How often do you play games?
not enough dammnnnittt!! I used to play probably more than was healthy resulting in RSI and headaches, but now with work demands, family time, hobbies and the sheer range of other media entertainment through which we are all distracting ourselves to death ...I maybe spend about a 25% of the time I used to, but once again I think Media molecules dreams will change that.

Favourite character?
Sackboy, Tommy Vercetti, Trevor Phillips...and I'm sure Art will soon become my new all time favourite, any guys who sleeps off whatever he is using in double bass case in alley and wakes to such vivid lucid dreams is alright in my book

Favourite gaming genre/ least favourite games?

Creative Gaming has become a firm favourite, PSVR is slowly gaining my interest as do small indie games...not a fan of driving games which hit their peak for me with Simpsons Hit and Run

Do you supplement your gaming with related activities?
I used to buy a lot of gaming mags but now I'll visit gaming sites such Gamespot for info or watch YouTube for the same. not really a fan of books or films based on Videogames as they usually disappoint

Super Nintendo. Or GameBoy. Dad had the Super, mum played Tetris and Kirby pinball on GameBoy. I picked up after them.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Or Super Mario World.
So yeah, nothing interesting or out of the ordinary there.

64, GameCube, DS, 360, 3DS, PS4, Switch.

Linear, narrative-driven action/adventure games. Granted, I play open-world more often.
RTS. Or non-Pokemon turn-based RPGs... I just can't vibe with 'em.

Luigi.

Most days. FIFA never ends, so yeah.

Do you supplement your gaming with related activities?
Video editing. I mean to make a career of it. Games-related, I've made a few simple montages, edited The Last of Us into the shape of a movie, and cut a couple teasers/trailers too.

Super Metroid on the SNES. I just loved that whole game and spent so many hours on it.

I loved Summoner for PS2, a very detailed RPG that I played multiple times.

I played games on Commodore 64 (not really a gaming system, but it had quite a few games) then Sega Genesis, then I was a broke grad student and then a graduate without a job, and the next system was PS2, PS3, PS Vita, and PS4.

1st gaming system
-Atari, the one that was all faux-wood. My best friend at the time had a CollecoVision. Yeah, i'm old baby.

1st favourite game
-Geeze...we had Berserk, and i liked that well enough. Though the first game i really have fond memories of would probably be Super Mario Bros. 2. Though...Kid Icarus was pretty great too. Decisions, decisions.

What other systems have you owned?
-Atari 2600, NES, SNES, greybox GameBoy, Genesis, clam shell GameBoy, PS1, N64, PS2, GameCube, GBA, PS3, PSP, PS4, Switch. For Entropy's sake, writing it out like that i look like a junkie.

Top 3 games
-Really? i got to pare it down to just three? Well, i'll try.
1) Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (i've never played a game with as much replayability)
2) LittleBigPlanet 1/2/3 (look, they're three chapters of one big game)
3) Silent Hill 2 (no cults in this one!)
4) Nier Automata (told you three would be unpossible)

Favourite/Least Favourite Genre
-Fav: platformers i guess, they've got the highest likelihood of me enjoying one.
Least: shooters, especially first-person ones....which makes my love of Splatoon2 and Borderlands2 all the more quizzical.

Favourite Character
-Oh, come on, this isn't fair at all. *sigh* i guess, maybe, Eden from BoI: A+ ? Random stats and random starting items in a rogue-like? Sign me up.

How often do you play?
-Outside of recording, or setting up for same? Geeze, probably way too much still. It helps that i wake up around 5a usually, if not earlier.

Do you supplement your gaming with related activities?
-Well, there're R15F, LBsP, and the Isaac LP (episode 402 recorded today!), but those are kind of cheating, i guess. i listen to soundtracks a lot. Right now it's Nier Automata's, but Mudeth's Antibirth soundtrack is usually on heavy rotation. NorthernLion's Isaac LP is my 6.30am jam, and i watch a lot of Helloween4545's LPs too. Trying to catch up on lsrs's LBP stuff, but there're only so many hours in the day.
